Ogallala

Ogallala was performed at Under St. Mark’s theatre produced by Torch Ensemble as part of their Climate Fable universe. I had the absolute pleasure of playing both Jose, a Spanglish speaking, raspy voiced, Mexican Army vet, & innkeeper that only makes eggs. As well as Chorus 2, a citizen of Ogallala helping to conduct community meetings in the post apocolyptic town, who is always just a step behind, can’t spell, and is just happy to be here. Both characters, though drastically different, had the audience at the edge f their seats wondering what I was going to do next. There was lots of room for improvisation and I FULLY took advantage of that.

“…the convention scene, during which Sophia Radix, as one of those helping to run the meeting, is as hilarious as she is earlier playing a cook who serves only eggs, provides one example of the comic side of Ogallala.”
